General Requirements
Students need to be nominated by the institution where they are currently studying. They should also ensure there are no outstanding issues with their current school and be at an academic level appropriate to the program to which they are applying.
Students coming from a university with which EBAPE has an exchange agreement will normally be admitted under that agreement (upon nomination by their home university).

Letter from your school confirming that you are a regular student and nominating you to the Exchange Program.

We don't offer accommodation but we can give some contacts to help the student.
Living Expenses
Depends on your lifestyle, but we estimate your costs will average US$ 1,200 per month.
Health Insurance
The student needs to have their own health insurance from their country, covering the exchange period. Brazilian health insurance for foreigners is very expensive.
Visa
Students who do not have Brazilian citizenship or residency must apply for a Student Visa at the nearest Brazilian Consulate or Embassy after receiving our letter of acceptance.
Facilities
Library services, computer facilities, café, restaurant, bookstore. The Subway Station is five minutes' walk from the school, and the bus stop is in front of the school.
Internships
We don't offer internships but we can certainly give a recommendation letter to help the student obtain one at a local company, previously contacted by the student.
GRADING PROCESS
Undergraduate
- 2 Exams or "Evaluation" per semester;
- Grades are assigned in a scale of 0 to 10;
- Final Grade is the average of these 2 Exams/Evaluations;
- The Student can also take a Substitute Evaluation in the end of the period, which can replace the lower grade achieved or an Evaluation missed;
- If the Student misses an Evaluation without justifying, his/her grade will be automatically 0.
Compulsory Conditions
- Minimum of 75% of frequency of class hours;
- The Student fails if:
- His/her frequency by the end of the period is lower than 75% of class hour;
- His/her final grade is lower than 6.0.
Masters
- There is not an exact number of Evaluations per semester;
- Grades are assigned from A to C;
- A = from 9 to 10 (Excellent); B = from 8 to 8.9 (Very Good); C = from 7 to 7.9 (Good); D = from 0 to 6.9 (Insufficient);
- Final Grade is the average of the Evaluations;
- If the Student misses an Evaluation without justification, his/her grade will automatically be 0;
- The Student can replace an Evaluation missed with prior agreement with his/her professor.
Compulsory Conditions
- Minimum of 75% of frequency of class hours;
- The Student fails if:
- His/her attendance by the end of the period is lower than 75% of class hour;
- His/her final grade is lower than C.
Credit System:
Undergraduate: A discipline can last 60hs or 90hs during the course period;
Masters: Each discipline earns 3 credits and 45hs.
If you are a student interested in an Exchange Program at the Brazilian School of Public and Business Administration - EBAPE, but your school does not have an exchange agreement with us, you are welcome to apply as a Freemover.

- A copy of your passport;
- Copy of Official transcript of university grades;
- Copies of undergraduate and graduate diplomas;
- Three personal references (academic and/or professional);
- Curriculum Vitae/Resume;
- Three 3cm x 4cm photos;
- GMAT and TOEFL scores (recommended)
Students coming from a university with which EBAPE has an exchange agreement will normally be admitted under that agreement (upon nomination by their home university)
Attention: EBAPE does not offer financial support or scholarships to international students. You will need to guarantee your own source of funding for tuition, accommodation and all other expenses.
